Submit a discussion session

We invite submissions for discussion sessions. These are similar to symposia but the participants don’t give talks; rather, they discuss an idea (theory, method, controversy) relevant to cognitive development.

To submit a proposal for a discussion session, specify its topic in max. 250 words (it can also be a paper) and suggest 3-5 panel members. A discussion session has a 5 minute introduction, followed by 5 minute contributions from each of the panel members, and is concluded by a live discussion moderated by the proposer.

Each submission is evaluated by the Scientific Committee of the BCCCD. Discussion sessions should reflect relevance of panelists’ research to the topic and expression of different views. Submissions that include multiple discussants from the same lab group will receive lower priority for acceptance than those that include contributions from at least 3 distinct research groups.

The Discussion session submission form can be found here.
